Sabut Urad


Urad also known as black gram is a pulse mostly used in Indian cuisine. This one is whole pulse, with the skin on, so is called as sabut.

Sabut urad is very nutritious and and contains high levels of proteins. The sabut version of the black gram is popularly boiled and is tempered with ginger-garlic and different spices. This pulse is an important ingredient of popular dish, called as dal makhani, in Punjabi cuisine.
